발베니 캐리비안 캐스크 14년은 발베니의 캐스크 피니시(CASK FINISH) 라인업 중 하나의 제품으로, 럼 캐스크를 사용한 것이 특징인 제품입니다. 

이 제품은 아메리칸 오크통에서 14년 동안 숙성시킨 원액을 럼 캐스크로 옮겨 6개월간 피니시를 더한 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 

위스키 케이스 전면에는 해당 제품에 대한 한줄 평이, 뒷면에는 발베니 브랜드에 대해 설명되어 있습니다. 

THE BALVENIE DISTILLERY has been owned and managed by the same independent family company for FIVE GENERATIONS. Nowhere else will you find a distillery that still grows maltings and still employs a TEAM OF COOPERS to tend all the casks and a COPPERSMITH to maintain the stills. 

The fifth rare craft is that of Malt Master, David Stewart. Over fifty years of experience enables him to SKILFULLY use different types of cask and different ages of spirit to craft The Balvenie range of single malts. Each expression has a distinctive taste, but all share a rich, honeyed character.

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 year old single malt whisky has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years, and then ‘finished’ in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. 

To create the ideal finish Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums. 

When he judged the casks to be ready, the rum was replaced with the 14 year old spirit and the wood was put to work adding the final touches. 

The result is an exceptional single malt whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, with a warm, lingering finish.
